Hello! I have been using Hinge and Tinder for over a year and have enjoyed meeting nice people and going on pleasant dates. Recently, I was unexpectedly banned from both apps on the same morning. I suspect foul play as it is unlikely to be a coincidence. I believe my accounts may have been hacked, sabotaged, doxed, or falsely reported. I kindly request an opportunity to explain my situation to a real person and be reconsidered for reinstatement, particularly on Hinge. I am a 45-year-old man who, after experiencing the end of a long-term relationship just before quarantine, has found the current loneliness exacerbated by the events of [redacted]. Losing my ability to connect with others through these apps is truly disheartening. I hope my account can be reviewed and, if any missteps were made, I apologize and have learned from them. I am committed to a positive and respectful experience moving forward. I have encountered challenging interactions on the apps and believe some users are disrupting the community. If reinstated, I commit to peaceful disengagement from such individuals. I humbly request another chance at finding companionship in these challenging times. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Matt

Hello! I reached out to [redacted] regarding my issue. My Hinge account was banned in early May before I completed setting up my profile. Despite emailing [redacted] on May 3, I have not received a response. As a result, I decided to create a new account with a different phone number a week ago. However, I noticed that I wasn't receiving any likes. To investigate, I liked a friend's photo on Hinge, but he did not receive a notification. I am concerned that my profile and interactions are not visible to others. I would appreciate assistance either via phone call at [redacted] or email at [redacted] A prompt response would be great as I have yet to receive any help from Hinge. Thank you!

My name is Shkelzen, and I have been using various dating apps in search of a meaningful connection, without success. I believe Hinge offers a better opportunity. After a brief hiatus due to meeting someone, which did not work out, I am facing issues accessing my account. Despite several attempts to create a new account, I have been unsuccessful. I am uncertain if the problem lies with a bug on your platform or if there is unauthorized use of my personal information. I kindly request your assistance in investigating this matter and determining any necessary steps from my end to resolve this issue. Thank you, Shkelzen Nezaj

I encountered an issue on the app where I was unjustly reported by a girl who made false claims about suicidal thoughts. I received unsolicited explicit images on my phone from her. I believe I should be allowed to continue using the app without any disruptions. Her behavior towards me escalated despite me being polite. I have retained legal representation for this matter. The contact information for my lawyer from Abney, Neal, Turpen, Orbison & Lewis, PC is as follows: 1-[redacted]. I am seeking to resolve this so I can resume dating without facing similar challenges in the future. The situation is distressing and unwarranted.

I believe I successfully canceled my Hinge Membership on April 24, [redacted] via the app. Despite the possibility of being charged due to the close proximity to my next 3-month subscription date, I still received a charge of $42.79 on April 26, [redacted]. Subsequently, another charge of the same amount was processed on July 26, [redacted], even though I am certain I canceled in April. Upon attempting to access my old account, I found I couldn't log in, prompting me to sign up as a new customer, validating my cancellation on April 24, [redacted]. I am requesting a refund for the charge on April 26, [redacted], and I insist on being refunded for the charge on July 26, [redacted]. If action is not taken, I will pursue legal recourse. I encountered an issue when trying to log into Hinge using my phone number. Despite not receiving verification texts due to a network error, I received an 'error message' stating 'too many login attempts with this phone number,' resulting in a 24-hour lockout. It has now been a week, and the error persists. Interestingly, I can access my account on my tablet with no problems, although it is not the ideal way to use the Hinge app. Despite contacting customer service and attempting to restart and reinstall the app, the issue remains unresolved. I am seeking guidance on how to regain access to my account via my phone. Thank you for any assistance provided.

I encountered a scam from an individual linked to phone number [redacted] in Fieldon, IL through the Hinge dating site using the name Luigi. This individual has hacked my accounts, and it is vital that action is taken to stop them. When I called the number again, a man named Miguel answered, pretending to be unaware of the situation, despite the similarity between his voice and the audio on the dating site. It raises concerns about the vetting process for men on such platforms. The scammer claims to be a construction engineer of Italian and Russian descent, residing in the US for 20 years, with a tragic backstory involving a deceased wife and a son in boarding school. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide the photo he uses due to site restrictions.

I recently signed up for Hinge. This morning, as I tried to reply to a message from a match, the app unexpectedly crashed, and when I reopened it, my match disappeared. Although it's possible they unmatched me, similar incidents have been reported by other users, making me question what really happened. Unfortunately, this caused us to miss our scheduled date today, and I was left feeling stood up and unable to contact him outside the app. This experience left me feeling a mix of emotions that ultimately led to a disappointing and lonely first date experience. I hold myself to a high standard of honesty and follow-through, and it pains me that this situation may have created a misunderstanding with my match. I wish there was a way to reconnect and explain the glitch situation to him. Moving forward, I believe Hinge should warn users about potential app glitches and perhaps implement a failsafe to prevent accidental unmatches due to technical issues. If these problems persist, I may have to consider deleting the app to protect myself from further heartache. I hope my feedback can lead to positive changes for the app and its users. Thank you for listening to my concerns.

I wanted to provide an update following my earlier lengthy message. I am concerned that my initial reaction was too hasty. I sincerely hope I did not unintentionally upset my match by appearing to unmatch them. I recently came across the term "cloaking" and it has made me wonder if this might have happened in my situation. Initially, the app shutting down seemed like a glitch, but upon reflection, I considered the possibility that my match may have sent a message, then unmatched before I could read it. This could explain why the app closed and upon reopening, the conversation was no longer accessible. I truly hope there has not been a misunderstanding and I would prefer to believe that they cloaked me instead of a simple app malfunction.

I wanted to follow up on my previous message. I realize I may have been too quick to judge. I hope I didn't unintentionally hurt my match's feelings. I'm starting to wonder if they might have "cloaked" me, a term I recently learned about. Initially, I thought the app shutting down was just a glitch, but now I consider the possibility that they sent a message, unmatched me before I could view it, causing the app to shut down. This could explain why the notification disappeared when I tried to open it. I truly hope there was no misunderstanding, and I prefer to think they intentionally "cloaked" me rather than a confusion with the app.

Hello! I would like to inquire if it is possible for me to change the topic of my issue. Initially, my concern was encountering an app shutdown when trying to view a message from a match. Subsequently, the match disappeared upon reopening the app. I wished the app had remained open to ascertain if the match intentionally unmatched me. I understand that requesting specific details may yield a standard response and delving deep might be embarrassing if it was an intentional unmatch. Therefore, I am now questioning if it is feasible for the platform to confirm whether the match intentionally unmatched me. I am prepared for any outcome, as these situations are common. My primary interest lies in understanding if the unmatch was deliberate or due to a technical glitch. While I acknowledge this query may be inconsequential, I am intrigued given the circumstances. I assume records of unmatches are kept, considering users are prompted to provide reasons for their actions. I am less concerned with the rationale behind the unmatch and more curious about the occurrence itself. Thank you!

My account was temporarily suspended after a mistaken report of being underage. I successfully appealed the decision with my driver's license, and the restriction was lifted. However, all my matches were erased in the process. I politely requested compensation in the form of Hinge Preferred for the lost matches, but the customer service representative, Sam, abruptly ended the conversation without addressing my request. While I understand the need for age verification, I am frustrated by the loss of my matches. If my previous matches cannot be restored, I kindly ask for support in acquiring new matches as a gesture of goodwill. Please reach out to me if further clarification is needed. Thank you. - B.

I recently got suspended from Hinge, and I received a notification when I tried to sign in again. I am puzzled about what led to my ban from the site. Recently, after a breakup with my partner, her friend saw me on Hinge and got upset with me. Soon after that incident, I found out I was banned, which seems like more than a coincidence. As a teacher with a clean record, having undergone background checks and fingerprinting, I am very concerned about this situation. I have used Hinge on and off for years without any problems, so I am eager to understand the reason for my ban and see evidence of any alleged violation. I have valued my experience on Hinge, and it would be disappointing to be permanently banned for reasons related to someone being upset with me.

I recently purchased a phone and Apple Watch from someone who works at Verizon in Babylon. Unfortunately, after the transaction, they did not activate the devices, causing my phone bill to double. When I tried to address the issue with Travis, the Verizon employee, he became upset and reported me instead of resolving the problem. It has now been two weeks, and my phone and watch still have not been activated as I paid for. I have the necessary documentation to prove the transaction and the impact on my phone bill. I believe Travis is unfairly placing blame on me when he was the one who swindled me out of money and failed to activate my devices.
