I recently received an email from Instagram notifying me that a new device accessed my account from Los Angeles, CA, on October 22 at 1:30 pm PDT. Since I live in India, this was actually October 23 at 2 am IST for me. After receiving the email, I logged into my account and saw no password changes, but I decided to change my password as a precaution. When checking my recent login activity, only my own device was shown as active. Intrigued, I looked into my account data and found no login listed for October 23 at 2 am. I even downloaded my account data from Instagram and checked all the IP addresses that accessed my account on October 22 and 23, and they were all mine. Could this email have been a glitch?

Hello, I recently recovered my email [redacted], which I haven't used in over 15 years. I need to reset my Instagram password for the account lhomme_de_guerre, as it's urgent that I delete it. My business Instagram account was deactivated without any explanation. When attempting to appeal, the system blocked me with a message stating I had tried too many times, even though it was my first attempt. After waiting and trying again weeks later, I encountered the same issue. Despite submitting 3 appeals and responding promptly to Facebook's verification email with the random numbers, the situation remains unresolved. This experience is quite distressing as my business is suffering due to these actions, despite my compliance with the platform's guidelines.

Hello, my Instagram account with the username @dominquemoss_ was hacked last Sunday, October 16th. The hackers changed my email, phone number, and password. I submitted an appeal and was asked to send a picture with a code, which I have attached. The hackers used my account to impersonate me and convinced followers to click on a link, resulting in their accounts being compromised. My followers reported the situation which led to my account being disabled. I am unable to use the disabled appeal feature as the hackers changed my password. I have not received any response or updates from the Instagram team despite multiple attempts. I operate a BUSINESS PAGE where I run PAID ADS to promote my business; losing access has caused financial losses. Please provide an update via email at [redacted] or call [redacted]. I have submitted a picture of myself holding a paper, my driver's license, the hacker's message, and proof of my disabled Instagram account. Kindly assist in recovering my account. Thank you.

I recently traveled from England to Pakistan and faced an issue with my Instagram account. After reinstalling the app in Pakistan, I couldn't log in because it required me to confirm with my phone number, which wasn't working in the current location. After a verification process involving a video of my face, I linked my email to the account. Despite receiving a confirmation code ([redacted]) via email, entering it repeatedly proved unsuccessful. Requesting a new code resulted in receiving the same one, leading to being locked out for entering it incorrectly too many times. Reinstalling the app didn't resolve the issue, and I tried changing my password to no avail. I can access my other account but not this one and simply wish to regain access without the faulty code system hindering me.

Hello, my name is Christopher M., and on September 5th, my Instagram account "mccallofduty" was hacked. The person who compromised my account promised to send me $5,[redacted] through Cash App. They asked for my personal information and reassured me it was legitimate. I sent them a screenshot of my details, recorded a video claiming I invested in forex, and waited as instructed. Suddenly, I was logged out of Instagram and couldn't log back in due to a six-digit code request from an unknown authentication app. A week later, I realized my password had changed, and my email and phone number were no longer associated with the account—both had been altered to unknown ones. Hello, I am having trouble logging into my Instagram account even though I am using the correct ID and password. The issue seems to be with the backup code. I am prompted to enter a backup code after inputting my ID and password, but unfortunately, I cannot find my backup code. I have contacted Instagram via email, but they have only sent a password reset link which requires the backup code that I cannot locate. I have checked my Authenticator app, but the code is not there. If Instagram could provide me with a new backup code, I believe I would be able to access my account. I've been locked out of my Instagram account for almost a year now. When I logged out to try and reset my password, I was prompted to use two-factor authentication, but I no longer have access to the email address associated with the account. The phone number linked to the account is also outdated, so I'm considering getting a cheap phone with the old number just to receive the verification code. One of my friends shared my username and password with @momsugar10 on Twitter. @momsugar10 proceeded to change my password and log me out. Despite my attempts to reach out to them, they insist on payment to restore access. Any objections are met with being blocked. I am unsure if they made other alterations to my account. The email associated with the account is ([redacted]). Although my phone number was linked, I am uncertain if it was modified. I possess evidence of regular email correspondence with the mentioned email address and records of @momsugar10's unauthorized login.

I am eager to undertake the required steps to regain access as it holds valuable memories and serves my ministry. My account was compromised by a Bitcoin mining scam that's circulating. The scammer gained access through a friend's account and convinced me to invest $[redacted] with the promise of receiving $10,[redacted] in return. They instructed me to create a video documenting the investment to release the funds via Cash App. After investing through MoonPay Inc. and bitcoin.com app, I filmed the video, but was then asked to pay an additional $[redacted] to regain control of my account. I have reported this to PayPal for investigation as that was my payment method. The scammers are now using my old account @macshine_doesit to target more people in my contacts. They are operating through WhatsApp and the email [redacted] to carry out their scams. I ask for assistance from anyone who can help, unless they are involved in the scam themselves.
