Good afternoon, I am Charles Hurtado. I have had a black card membership at your Santa Cruz facility for almost a month now. My wife and I were informed at the beginning that we could bring a guest who would have access to all the facilities, including massages. However, yesterday we were denied entry to the massage area. We were told that only black card members could enter, not guests. We feel deceived as we were lured into joining. We are considering canceling our memberships. Despite our intention to stay long-term, recent events have left us feeling unwelcome. I contacted Sandra, the manager, but she hung up on us, claiming we were shouting. It appears that a membership was opened under my name at Planet Fitness without my knowledge. I have never visited any Planet Fitness location and have been charged over $[redacted]. I did not apply for or authorize this membership and feel like I am being taken advantage of. Why would I have a membership but never attend? I am considering hiring an attorney to recoup the fees that were charged without my consent. The management's response has been unsatisfactory, seeming indifferent to the situation. This situation constitutes fraud, and I have already informed my bank about it.

I have attempted to cancel our Planet Fitness memberships for over a year by both calling and visiting the gym. Despite multiple requests, the accounts remain active, resulting in charges for two accounts. This issue has persisted for a year, causing immense frustration. I am considering escalating this matter to the BBB and seeking legal assistance. My husband is Michael Rowland (DOB: 3/30/[redacted]) and I am Amanda Rowland (DOB: 2/16/[redacted]). I had an unpleasant experience at the gym where a staff member canceled and froze my account without directly addressing an issue I had with another member. Despite explaining that I needed the gym for a new job starting soon, I was not given a chance to resolve the situation. The staff member mentioned I could sit in the locker room for hours, leaving me feeling unwelcome. As a senior citizen, I was simply trying to adjust to the gym routine and rules, unaware of any violations regarding the female locker room. I had trouble with some equipment as I was not shown how to use them properly. I felt verbally harassed by another member whose comments about my son were hurtful and unfounded. I am disappointed with the cleanliness and laziness of the staff at the club in Savannah, Georgia, where I have been a member for years. I have noticed a decline in the upkeep of the tanning beds and restrooms, and the overall cleanliness of the facility. I believe a health inspector would not be pleased if they visited. I have evidence to support my claims with pictures. I am considering leaving to join another gym that maintains better standards. I suggest surprise visits to ensure the club is cleaned regularly.

Today, I had a frightening experience at the Montgomery, Illinois gym while attempting to use the stand-up tanning bed. At 11:15 a.m., I was directed to room 2 by the attendant where I encountered a situation where the door did not open initially, and when it did, I found another individual inside. Fortunately, she was clothed, but the error is concerning. The attendant's response was not ideal, as she simply apologized and then reassigned me to room 4. This oversight highlights the need for better procedures in place to ensure such incidents do not occur again. The incident occurred on 3-29-23 at 11:15 a.m. in Montgomery, Illinois at stand-up bed #2.

I am facing challenges with the gym hours. Extending the closing time until midnight would be more convenient for me and other members. I have been a member for four years, and my parents have been with the gym for five years. Having later opening times on weekdays and weekends would greatly enhance my workout routine. Several times, I had to skip the gym due to its early closing time shortly after my work hours. Having the gym open until 12 on weekdays and weekends would be beneficial. Perhaps extending it until 10 on Sundays would also be helpful. It's crucial to have more available hours to accommodate everyone's schedules.

I have been experiencing issues with the total body enhancement unit at the Planet Fitness in Easley, SC - Rolling Hills location. Initially, they mentioned it would be fixed in 2 weeks, but it still isn't working. Today, they informed me that the work order has been submitted, but the repairman has not arrived yet. This unit is the main reason I upgraded to a black card membership. Easley is the only location in this county, which includes over 6 towns. Unfortunately, I can't travel to the next county daily to access another Planet Fitness branch.

I attempted to cancel my Planet Fitness subscriptions, as advised, by sending a letter. Unfortunately, the letter did not reach Planet Fitness in time, resulting in continued charges for the following month and annual fees. I require a refund for these charges due to no longer residing near the gym. Despite assurances that the payments would not go through, they were processed. I also need confirmation of the cancellation moving forward.

I have encountered multiple unauthorized recurring charges on my credit card at Davenport Planet Fitness, including charges of $34.60 and $24.60. Additionally, there are unrecognized charges of $[redacted].83 and $56.65. Initially, the manager credited me for one $34.60 charge, but has since declined to refund any more. He claims billing is managed by ABC Planet Fitness and advises me to dispute these transactions with my bank, despite them not being bank account transactions. My lawyer insists that Planet Fitness should handle this matter. The manager, "Josh," dismisses the situation. As a retiree on fixed income, legal action is not ideal but may be necessary. I have until April 25 to see these charges resolved, or I will take further action and involve relevant authorities. Other members at the gym seem to be facing similar billing issues.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for 2 years without any issues until recently when the new assistant manager, David, started harassing and discriminating against me. I reached out to the manager via email, but unfortunately, they were not helpful and treated me poorly. All I wanted to do was work out, but they have been trying to find reasons to cancel my membership. They accused me of violating a policy by using my own pads for boxing, even though it's great for cardio and not against any rules. I feel unfairly targeted and want justice as it is disheartening to be treated this way just because of my race.

The representatives mentioned that I should expect an email regarding the Fitbit, but unfortunately, I have not received any communication. I have checked my deleted emails without any luck. I am currently in Houston, Texas, and have observed certain safety issues at a club located on Beechnut and 59. Some of the concerns include locks being left on lockers for extended periods, staff members using their phones for personal calls and texts while on duty, neglect of weights by certain staff, failure to sound the alarm when weights are dropped, and instances of rudeness. Previously, when Keith Daniels was the area supervisor, these issues were effectively addressed. However, since Keith is no longer in this role, I would appreciate receiving the contact information for the new supervisor in order to resolve these ongoing problems. Thank you.

As a former black card member at the Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania P.F. gym, it saddens me to have left in February [redacted]. Despite its convenience and my long-time membership, I faced harassment from three employees, even after reporting it to the manager. The situation worsened, leading to humiliation, gossip, and being targeted by an employee on and off duty. Despite a witness coming forward and the franchise owner being informed, no action was taken. The same employee even went as far as monitoring me from a nearby parking lot and alerting colleagues when I arrived for my last visit. This ongoing harassment for over a year, along with the lack of privacy and professionalism at the gym, made it unbearable for me to continue. The breach of company policies, lack of accountability from the owner, and the nonchalant attitude of the staff have prompted me to seek assistance from corporate and legal counsel in addressing these issues.

I had a negative experience at the gym with a fitness trainer who was rude. While we were using the machines, the trainer interrupted us and insisted it was closing time at 6 pm, speaking disrespectfully. Then, the trainer singled out one of my friends, asking him to scan his Planet Fitness card and threatening to cancel his membership. I don't want to discriminate, but the trainer's behavior was unacceptable. This incident occurred at the Planet Fitness located at [redacted] Vodden St E, Brampton, Ontario. It's important for the gym to address such behavior from staff members.

The staff at the P.F. gym in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, displayed unprofessional and disrespectful behavior, leading to my decision to leave. I was openly texted about by two female employees, laughed at, and observed by an employee from a nearby parking lot who then alerted her colleagues that I was entering the gym. I was gossiped about in the black card room, and an employee who had previously watched me from a distance would inform others of my presence inside the gym. There were instances of eavesdropping on my conversations, including one by the previous female manager who allowed the assistant manager to listen in on a private discussion of mine. Additionally, a fellow female employee shared confidential information about other gym members with me, asking me to keep it quiet, which violated company policies. Despite my efforts to address these issues with the manager and online, no resolution was reached. I am now seeking intervention from corporate to investigate the conduct of the gym staff.

I have been attempting to update my account information online for several months now, but the system consistently rejects my details. Despite seeking assistance in person and being assured that the issue was resolved, I continue to incur late charges. Even after providing my information over the phone in late March and being told the matter was resolved, the problem persists. My account remains unpaid, accruing additional late fees, and now I am being charged an annual fee as well. Why should I be expected to pay for services when my information is not being recognized, leading to these ongoing charges? This frustrating cycle of unsuccessful updates and fees has become too costly for me to continue.
