I have a technical question regarding a party phone line that was connected in the early 1980s after the main phone line installation. Sometime between [redacted] and [redacted], the party line was integrated with the home phone line. Before the popularity of mobile phones, the benefits of a party line included the ability to pick up calls from various areas of a house and facilitate multiple pickup points. The networking feature also allowed neighboring homes to connect and share the same landline privately. Additionally, there was a call back function to access missed call numbers. I would appreciate any information on these aspects and insights into new features introduced around [redacted].

I need some advice. Can I purchase a phone for a family member on a data-only phone plan we currently have, and then transfer the phone to them while they are still paying off their phone + data plan? Is it possible to switch the sim cards between the two phones or does the new phone need to have a separate phone number even after changing the sim cards? I hope this all makes sense. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Last night, there was a power outage in our neighborhood, and ever since, I've been unable to restore the internet connection no matter what troubleshooting steps I've tried with the modem and router. My grandson, who is 24, also attempted to fix it without success. Even my neighbor couldn't get it to work. Clearly, there is a persistent problem. I kindly request assistance from a technician who can come to my residence and resolve this issue promptly. Warm regards.
