I filed my taxes electronically with Kelly Baker, CPA, PA, for married filing jointly and was informed that the refund was sent on March 24, [redacted]. However, upon investigation, I realized that the refund was sent to CIVISTA BANK as my personal banking details were not included in the return. A representative from CIVISTA explained that the IRS sends returns to this location for processing, where any fees are deducted before the remainder is sent to the bank details on the return. As my bank information was omitted, I need to request a correction or have a paper check mailed to the address on the return. Any assistance in resolving this matter is appreciated. Raymond B.

Hello, I am Rita S. I electronically filed my taxes on 2-15-[redacted], providing my account and routing numbers as usual to ensure a refund within 21 days. While my State refund arrived in 14 days, I have yet to receive my Federal refund after over 45 days. I have worked at St. John Hospital as a pharmacy technician for over six years without any tax refund issues previously. My taxes were filed accurately, and my State refund was deposited a month ago. All my coworkers have received both State and Federal refunds except for me. Could you please explain the delay? I have no outstanding debts and am eagerly awaiting my refund. Thank you.

I recently received a voicemail on my cell phone from someone claiming to be Jena from processing, with the number [redacted]. The caller mentioned back taxes owed without properly identifying themselves. As a recipient of SSA disability benefits who has been contacted annually by the IRS regarding taxes, this seems suspicious. I am hesitant to call back and would like confirmation that this is indeed a scam. Your attention to this matter is appreciated. Best, Cynthia W. [redacted] Barnes Street Jackson, MS [redacted]

My name is Kathy McIntyre with birthday October 2, [redacted]. I have not yet received the $[redacted] in my bank account. I am frustrated with the IRS, as they have been hanging up on me when I call. I filed my taxes at 10:40 and submitted them through TurboTax, which was approved. Despite this, I have not received the money. I am on social security and have been for 2 years. I want the $[redacted] that I did not receive due to an identity test with the IRS cleared up. Please let me know the status of my payment. You can contact me at [redacted] I had open heart surgery and am seeking resolution to this issue promptly. Thank you.

I had to file for bankruptcy last year due to losing my job because of Covid-19. We had to sell our home, leaving me, my wife, and our three children with no support. We have been struggling to make ends meet and have been living in budget motels. Despite filing for unemployment last April, we still have not received any payments. Our family is on the brink of homelessness. Is there any way to expedite our [redacted] tax refund? The situation feels dire, and we are in urgent need of assistance.

I submitted my tax return over three weeks ago anticipating a refund by the 3rd. Upon checking, it showed approval, yet the refund has not arrived. Due to job loss, I am in urgent need of this refund. Unfortunately, obtaining necessary documentation is a financial challenge as contacting authorities for the required papers is unaffordable. Additionally, presenting proof of identity to the Social Security Administration has become a complex task without the essential documents. The current situation leaves me struggling to meet basic needs, including food. Each attempt to contact the IRS results in automated responses about the processing status without offering a solution or personal assistance. I am eager to speak with a live representative to address my concerns promptly and efficiently.

The IRS.gov app continues to state that my refund is being processed and will provide a date at the earliest opportunity. Despite filing early for the stimulus recovery rebate, I have not received it, nor have I received the second or third stimulus payments. Both the "Get My Refund" and "Get My Payment" tools are not offering any explanations. It is currently April, and I am significantly behind on various payments. Unfortunately, I have been evicted from my home and am now residing in a car with my girlfriend and our dog. The car's windshield is broken, and we lack insurance or the means to improve our situation. Any assistance or guidance on the next steps would be greatly appreciated. I am unable to access the email or phone number on file and have been trying to update them. My new phone number is [redacted], and I will provide my new email in the designated section below.

I am seeking assistance with the CARES Act and the third round of stimulus payments. Earlier this year, my nephew, a minor under my care by court order, moved in with me. I have legal custody, provide support, and have been granted parental powers of attorney. However, the stimulus intended for his care is being directed to his step-mother, who claimed him on taxes last year as a dependent. My brother, his father, is separated from her and they are undergoing a divorce. My nephew will reside with me long-term, likely until he completes high school. Since I do not receive financial assistance from either parent, I am requesting that the recent stimulus payment be sent to me. Thank you.

I checked with my bank regarding a deposit scheduled for March 31, [redacted], as stated in the information. However, they confirmed that no deposit was made to my account on that date. Additionally, I have not received the expected stimulus payment. The details mention a bank account number ending in [redacted], to which the payment was supposedly made. I am puzzled by the discrepancy between the information provided and the actual status of my account. The tax refund amount displayed on the portal is $1,[redacted].00, with a deposit date indicated as March 24, [redacted]. The website suggests contacting the bank to confirm receipt of the funds and verifying the accuracy of the routing and account numbers. I find myself in a situation where the details provided do not align with the reality of my account activity.

We encountered issues when attempting to file our [redacted] tax return online and ended up mailing them via US Mail. After checking the IRS website, we discovered that they only received our [redacted] return. It seems the [redacted] return was not received, although the check we sent with it was cashed on 7/15/20 for $2,[redacted] (check #[redacted]). Due to this, we likely missed out on the second stimulus. We are yet to receive the third stimulus. Our [redacted] tax return, eligible for a $1,[redacted] refund, was also mailed, potentially in early March [redacted]. Checking the IRS website shows the message "We cannot provide any information about your refund" and I have been unable to get updates on the second or third stimulus. I've tried contacting via phone without success. Thank you for any assistance.

My husband and I both received the $[redacted] credit in August last year. However, we did not receive the $[redacted] credit in January this year. While my husband received his $1,[redacted] check this week, I have not. We filed our taxes about 2 weeks ago using TurboTax for $[redacted]. Surprisingly, they never mentioned the recovery rebate credit. I am disappointed and will not be using them again. Is there a way for us to still file just for the recovery rebate credit? Thank you - Denise F.

Good afternoon, I submitted my [redacted] Personal Federal Income Tax Return to the IRS around 12 February [redacted]. However, I have not received any refund or communication from the IRS since then. My name is William Kurt Starr, SSAN: [redacted]-90-[redacted]. My spouse and I filed jointly aiming for a $[redacted] refund. Despite checking the IRS2Go app multiple times, there is no refund date provided. Can you please assist in checking the status of our refund? I prefer direct deposit for the refund or a letter detailing any errors on our return and the necessary steps to rectify them.

It has been over nine months since I submitted my [redacted] tax return, and I recently discovered that a missing signature was the reason for the delay. Once I rectified this issue and sent the signed document back as requested, it has been two more months of waiting. I am highly anticipating my return of $[redacted], particularly as I am preparing to move from Hawai'i to the mainland soon. I am concerned that with the change of address and the situation's complexity, I might encounter further delays in receiving my money.

I am currently in the process of filing my back taxes and discussing a situation regarding my daughter's father incorrectly claiming her on his tax returns for the past few years. Our agreement is for alternating odd and even years. He has received tax credits and stimulus money for her despite not paying child support or being involved in her life. When I attempted to file my taxes, they were rejected because he had already claimed her. I have child custody documents that clearly outline the odd and even year arrangement.

I recently submitted my [redacted] tax return via e-file to claim the Recovery Act Credit of $[redacted]. Unfortunately, I made an error in my Bank of America account number by mistyping it on the return. My tax preparer mentioned that if the direct deposit doesn't go through due to the account number error, the refund would be mailed as a paper check. However, when checking the IRS website, it shows the refund was sent via direct deposit on April 7, [redacted]. My bank has no record of this deposit. I am worried about the mix-up and wonder if the refund is on its way as a check or still as a direct deposit. I hope for reassurance on this issue and any steps I should take to expedite receiving my refund. Thank you. - L. Z. Baumstein

I sent in form [redacted] SR on January 26, [redacted]. As of April 13, I have yet to receive any update on my refund from the IRS. Despite checking all their websites and providing the necessary information to track our refund, there has been no progress. I have also attempted to contact the IRS using the listed phone numbers, but have had no success in reaching them. I am concerned as it has been 11 weeks since I submitted the form and I have not received any communication from the IRS regarding my refund.

I have interacted with representatives twice now and submitted new tax documents. Initially, I claimed a tuition tax credit, but after speaking with them, I realized I should have applied for a different credit. I corrected the form and resubmitted it with proof of my twins' college attendance. Despite being reassured by two representatives that I did not owe $[redacted], I received a letter stating I owed the full amount due immediately. I am perplexed as to why this happened, especially since I rectified the form as advised. I have encountered additional issues with missing papers from a certified letter delivered in person. This situation has left me feeling frustrated and uncertain. I am eagerly awaiting a response or clarification on the matter. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Lea K.

We have adjusted your tax return, and the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS) has used your entire refund to offset an outstanding debt, such as child support, another agency debt, or state income tax. A notice explaining the changes to your tax return was sent on March 29, [redacted]. You will also receive a separate notice from the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS) regarding the offset of your refund. I recently finalized my divorce on 12-30-[redacted]. My ex-husband, along with a CPA he found online, is suggesting that we file taxes separately since we were not married for the entire year of [redacted]. As Texas is a community property state, they mentioned I should claim half of his income. My income for the year was around $[redacted], while his taxable income was approximately $62,[redacted]. I'm struggling to accept this advice and would like some guidance or clarification on this matter. Thank you for your assistance and time. Best regards, Barbara H. S. - [redacted]-16-[redacted]. I was unaware that sending the payment without your name on it could cause issues. My wife and I have separate Chime accounts, and our joint payment was sent to her bank. The IRS said it would be returned by April 14th, but Chime claims they sent it back on April 10th. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get through to anyone for help. I have my Chime account ready for the deposit, or they can mail it to my address for quicker access. My family is struggling, and bills are due. The situation with COVID-19 has really impacted us. My routing number is 03-[redacted], and my account number is 16-[redacted]. It's crucial that this issue gets resolved promptly.
