We were removed from a flight in Cancun late at night because my son's heart medication causes him to vomit. He had vomited 1 1/2 hours before the flight, and despite explaining that it was not contagious and showing all his pills, we were asked to leave. The airline mentioned contacting MedLink but ultimately denied us boarding. We are upset by this decision and demand answers. We were left stranded in Cancun without accommodations, which we find inexcusable given the number of hotels in the area. I want to speak to a supervisor regarding the poor judgement shown in handling this situation and request a refund for the expenses incurred due to being removed from the flight. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and we believe better decisions should have been made.

On January 8th, I tested positive for COVID-19, which unfortunately caused me to miss my flight. Due to the lab regulations, I received my test results on the same day as my flight, making it impossible to give a 24-hour notice of the change. I did speak to a gentleman on the phone, informing him that I wouldn't be boarding flight [redacted] that day. However, due to the chaos of the situation, I had to wait until now to address this issue. I have been trying to locate the number I called without success, as the only number I can find is the toll-free one, which doesn't work from Mexico. I hope this email reaches you, and we can find a solution, perhaps through a scheduled call. My phone number is [redacted]. Hello, On January 7, [redacted], my original flight itinerary was from Calgary to Toronto, then to Mexico City and Aguascalientes. Upon arriving in Toronto, my connecting flight to Mexico City was canceled. Aeromexico arranged for me to fly with WestJet on flight number [redacted] from Toronto to Puerto Vallarta. I was instructed to pick up my suitcase before the flight, but it was missing. An advisor mentioned I might find it in Puerto Vallarta, but that hasn't been the case. Despite my efforts, I haven't had any luck with WestJet or Aeromexico in locating my suitcase. I'm uncertain whether it's still in Toronto or has been sent to Mexico. I arrived in Edmonton, Alberta on WestJet flight WT1503 and had a terrible experience. I requested a wheelchair and assistance due to mobility issues, but all I got was a chair at the plane door. The staff requested my sister to push the wheelchair as they had another client to assist. It was a nightmare trying to navigate with luggage and no proper assistance. When we asked questions at the declaration kiosk, we were told to search online for answers. This level of service is unacceptable. Edmonton International Airport (EIA) should learn from the excellent service in Orlando. It's no wonder YEG doesn't attract larger flights. The whole experience was disappointing and not what one would expect from Edmonton's airport.

I booked a direct flight from Regina to Puerto Vallarta in August. Due to the pandemic, I understand that flights can be canceled or changed. Unfortunately, when we traveled back on Feb 8, [redacted], the flight we got arriving in Regina at 1:43 am was a terrible experience. I specifically paid extra for direct flights, and this unexpected change was disappointing, especially traveling with my adult children and 6- and 10-year-old grandchildren. Security issues at the Calgary airport with duty-free purchases not being allowed were frustrating. I have encouraged my family to get Westjet Mastercards, but now we are all considering canceling them due to these recent flight experiences. The pain caused by having to walk long distances due to the duty-free issue was unbearable, particularly as I need both hips replaced. My Westjet number is [redacted]82. My overall Westjet experience has left me very disappointed.

We attempted to reserve a vacation using our WJD online, but were unable to do so and had to resort to calling instead. After encountering closed contact centers and missing call back options, I finally secured a booking after struggling through various attempts and time-consuming holds. Despite the advertised sale extension, we ultimately paid a higher price and lost our preferred room. Seeking compensation for the inconvenience caused by the booking process and price fluctuations during the sale. If online booking had been available, these issues could have been circumvented. During our trip to Mexico, my son purchased Business Class seats which were delightful. However, a family of four with two small children joined us, but unfortunately, their seats were not together. The mother asked if we could switch seats to sit close to her children during takeoff, which we did willingly. Unfortunately, one of the children was unwell, behaving badly, and throwing crayons at us. The parents seemed unconcerned, which was disappointing. The journey from Toronto to Cancun was marred by this experience, making it far from relaxing. Other passengers even took photos of the mess left by the family. I left one of my bags at Cancun Airport. When I tried to retrieve it, BD Experience stated they would deliver it to my hotel on Sunday, but they failed to do so. Now, after 2 days, they are asking for $85 in cash to bring my bag to Ocean Paradise instead of placing it on the next bus for free. They claim it is with WestJet lost and found as per their policy. I made a flight booking to London for April 5, [redacted], for my daughter and me, Reservation #1ALPWQ. I had to cancel due to COVID, resulting in the funds being credited to Travel Bank #[redacted]95. Following a recent chronic illness diagnosis that prevents me from traveling, I used $[redacted] of the credit for my daughter's trip. However, I still have a remaining balance around $[redacted]. After speaking with a helpful agent who assisted with the partial redemption, I submitted a refund request for the remaining amount to my credit card. I was scheduled on flight WS [redacted] departing from Toronto on Feb. 18, [redacted] at 22:30. The flight got delayed and eventually canceled after waiting on the tarmac for about 45 minutes. We were on the plane for about 2 1/2 hours before being informed that the flight was canceled. The flight attendant mentioned we might be provided with hotel accommodations, but a Westjet employee later stated due to bad weather, no rooms would be available. We didn't receive food vouchers or much help and were left to manage on our own until 4 a.m. for security to open. The flight got pushed to 8 a.m., then further delayed to 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 19. Despite understanding the situation, the lack of information or care from Westjet was disappointing. An incident at the baggage claim involving a disabled passenger highlighted the uncompassionate attitude of some Westjet employees. The overall handling of the situation left us feeling unsupported, tired, and disappointed. Compensations and additional training for staff should be considered to prevent such experiences in the future.

I have a flight booked from New Orleans to Calgary with two separate bookings. The first leg going to Atlanta shows flight # DL2055, and the other leg shows WS6377. I believe these are the same flights as they depart at the same time. DL is a Delta plane that is a partner of Westjet. This flight is booked for November 24th, [redacted], at 1:05 PM. I want to share my recent disappointing experience on Flight WS2644 from J.S.N to Liberia on the 7th. There was no catering, but they did offer juices and water. Unfortunately, I was not informed beforehand, so I couldn't bring my own food on the plane. Similarly, on Flight WS2645 from Liberia on March 7th, two months later, there was once again no catering provided. All we got were a cup of water and one cookie. No notification was given to passengers to bring their own snacks. After being left dehydrated from only having breakfast, some passengers got upset and gave the staff a hard time. We sat hungry for 5 hours, feeling let down. It's frustrating that this happened twice with no prior information given.

I booked two round-trip flights from Vancouver to Paris using RBC Rewards points and was pleased that seat selection was included at no additional cost. However, I discovered that a Westjet itinerary number is necessary to select seats. Unfortunately, attempts to obtain these numbers via phone have been unsuccessful, leaving me frustrated with the process. As a tall individual needing extra legroom for the Calgary to Paris flights, I am willing to pay for preferred seating. If Westjet engages in partnerships, they should extend comparable support to all customers to ensure a positive experience.

On February 27, [redacted], Arlene Isabelle Ray and John Robert Ray were scheduled to travel from Regina [redacted] Premium to Edmonton [redacted] Premium, with a connecting flight to Toronto. However, an operational delay caused their flight into Regina to be late, resulting in a potential missed connection in Edmonton. WestJet arranged for new tickets from Edmonton [redacted] Premium to Calgary [redacted] Economy, arriving in Toronto later than planned. Despite originally booking premium seats to Toronto, they ended up at the back of the plane, which was uncomfortable for John due to his height. Upon arrival in Toronto, their luggage was missing, leading to a challenging night without essentials. Despite the setbacks, they were able to reunite with their luggage the following morning after a strenuous night of travel and hotel arrangements.

Good morning, I need assistance with a refund matter related to my Westjet Booking Reference TKP5CF. The travel agents at Expedia have notified me that Westjet has refunded the flight tickets I booked in February [redacted] for a trip to Canada in June [redacted], which got canceled due to the pandemic. Expedia has confirmed that a full refund has been issued to the bank account that was used for the ticket payment, ending in [redacted]. My flight from Munich to Victoria on March 23, [redacted] was canceled due to Covid-19. WestJet provided me with a credit in WestJet dollars instead of a refund to my credit card. With the change in consumer protection regulations by the federal government, I attempted to request a refund in August [redacted] by filling out the form on the WestJet website. After receiving no response by January [redacted], I contacted customer service only to find they had no record of my initial submission. Despite the agent's inability to directly help, she assisted me in submitting a new refund request form. However, I was not provided with a confirmation number or any way to verify the success of the submission. As of mid-April [redacted], I have not been contacted by WestJet, and my credit is close to expiring.

Despite numerous attempts to use the credits for travel within the USA through Expedia, suitable options are unavailable at present. Expedia mentioned communicating with WestJet through HELP chats since 3/27/22 to facilitate a refund, which has not been processed yet. We encountered an issue with Westjet not recognizing our reservation from Delta, despite receiving a confirmation email and having our names on the first-class seat chart. Due to this discrepancy, we had to purchase two new economy tickets for the Halifax to Toronto flight, totaling $[redacted], which exceeded the cost of our original first-class tickets to Birmingham, AL. Westjet advised us to request a refund, but because we took the flight, our tickets are considered used. Despite being moved to the first-class seats on the flight due to our names being on the manifest, we are seeking a refund. I am interested in applying for the Westjet RBC World Elite Mastercard but encountered an issue with the required salary.
